Chairman of the Marketing Group
As Mona Bielmeier left her former employer, she will no longer be Chairman of the Marketing Group.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank her for her active collaboration and strong support.
Mr. Fons Harbers (DSM Composite Resins) will coordinate temporarily the activities of our Marketing Group until yearend; beginning of 2010 will be the election of a new chairman.
Composites Europe 2009 and International AVK Conference
In 2009 the European Alliance for SMC/BMC will not be present with an own booth at the Composites Europe Trade Fair.
But we would like to point out that some of our member-companies will give a lecture during the AVK Conference, which will take place at the same location in Stuttgart on October, 26.-27. 2009
On Tuesday, 27.10.2009 will be a session on "SMC & Thermosets".

Position Paper on Recycling of Thermoset Composite Parts
Please find here the download-link for the position Paper, which states that the cement
kiln route is a recycling process compliant with the EU Waste Framework Directive (WFD)
and the End-of-Life of Vehicles Directive (ELVs).
This paper is supported by the European Plastics Converters (EuPC), the European Composites
Industry Association (EuCIA) and the European Composite Recycling Service Company (ECRC).
The European Alliance for SMC/BMC is a sector group of EuCIA.
